YMCA Swimming
LI: To learn about water saftey.
This week for swimming we learnt more about how to float with our boards. We also had to learn a new skill called the starfish flip.
To perform the starfish flip you have to start with you head underwater then wait for 5 seconds to pass and then you flip on to your stomach to breath. something that is very important when you are on your stomach is to keep your chest and stomach above water. Then we got our float boards and people went on eather side of the walls and ropes with there boards out. They had to not splash but make waves while someone is swimming through the middle of the two groups.

Kiwi Can
LI: To learn how to persevere.
This week was third to last week of kiwi can so we tried to be the best we can be. We learnt how to persevere between diffrent challenges. We also talked about somethings that can help you from when you are frustrated about losing something.
Our energizer was called add master and to play you need to form a circle with your friends and family. One person will start at a point in the circle and there goal is to play a game were you have to kind of rock paper scissors but pull out one or two hands. If you hold up 3 fingers and the other person holds up 5 then you have to add up the numbers as quick as possible so that you answer is three. if you beat them then you move to the next person and your goal is to beat everyone in the circle but if you lose then you sit down were the person who beat you sits. The next game we played was called card towers and to play you need to split into groups of four with 12 cards each and within five minutes you have to try and build the best tower. The catch was that you can not frustrate or else you are out.
I learnt how to persevere and somethings that can help you when you are frustrated at someone or something.

Inquiry: Traffic Control
LI: To learn about roads.
This week for inquiry we had to make a presantation and then once you are done you had to play three diffrent games based on road control. To see then blog post on the presantation click on this link.
The first game we played was called highway traffic and it was not really acurate on how we control traffic lights and by that I mean when you would click the traffic light it would skip ( always ) skip amber. This next game we played was to me was the most acurate at controlling the traffic light because when you would click the traffic light then it would go amber and then red. The last game we played was more of a puzzle game because you had to make a root using curves and straight roads to get the cars to there destanation.
I learnt alot about traffic control.
Inquiry: Presantation
LI: To make a presantation about traffic lights, Round abouts & Pedastrian crossings.

Then we we were done we went to record our presantation, we did two because on our first video we messed up so we started a new one and finished by sending the video to Mr. Ogilve. Then he checked our work for mistakes and other things.

Rugby
LI: To learn the basics of rugby.
This week on wedensday we had rugby. My group had to learn the basics of rugby like passing, tackling, rucks and throw ins.
The first drill was the rucks and I am going to be honest it was very confusing but in the end we maneged to complete it, the skill we did was tackling and to practice tackling we had to get into groups of two. One person in the group had to go on there knees and try and tackle their teammates who are standing up, also the teamate can move right or left and they have to try and get pass the tackler. Then we had to do passing and like most rugby teams we make three lines and one person runs and passes it to the others and you keep on going until your coach says stop. The last one we did was line outs and we did them how most people do, one person throws in the ball and the other people have to catch it.
