Cybersmart | Cleaning out your drive

LI: To inform young device users about the importance of being cybersmart.

Todays challenge required us to create a DLO showing a tip that new device users should follow. My tip was about the importance of cleaning out your google drives. In our DLO we had to explain some information about cleaning our drives and we also had to create a screencastify to show how to clean our drives. I found this activity quite easy because I have expierence explaining to juniors about cybersmart skills.

LI: Be cybersmart and use our devices to learn, create and share.

We dove into the understanding of the kawa of care. The kawa of care makes ensures that we are being safe with our chromebooks by making sure that we follow the rules of chromebook protection. Some rules being: Do not eat when sitting near a chromebook, make sure that when you're sitting at a table to have your chromebook away from the courner, and etc. The slideshow below gave me the challenge of Knowing where the keys are and where the shortcuts are.

How to make a safe/secure password | Cybersmart

LI: To learn how to make a safe and secure password.
Today in LS1 we we're learning how to create a safe password. The two ways we learn't were two random words stuck together to create a phrase ( Try to make sure that both of the words are quite different ), The other way we learn't was making a phrase and turning it in to an acronym. An Example for the first method would be "Soft Concrete" or "Hard Pillows". An example for the second method would be, "sgsop" which stands for short giraffes standing on people. For both methods you can add punctuations, numbers & capital/lowercase letters.

Cybersmart | Print Design rules

LI: To identify the four ares of print design.
This week in Cybersmart we are learning about the print design rules ( I was in the class last year when we learnt about the Print Design Rules ). The ares in the print design rules are Compisition, Text, Color & Layout. Compisition is the elements that you put onto the DLO & The balance of those elements ( Compisition apply's on what you are making ). Text means that you have to keep the text the same font while also making it easy to read. Color means making the color easy to look at ( appealing ) and to not have clashing colors. Lastly Layout means that everything is a lined ( You can use a Margine if you want ).

LI: To collaborate on a task.
collaborating means making a group to finish you job. The first question we had to answer was what kind of language or actions do we use when collaborating. LS1 group A's answers were Encouragment, Focusing, Polite Language and sharing ideas. With our work when we collaborate we have to figure out what tasks there are and who is doing each task. Finally we had to make a meme about collaboration.
