For this weeks tech reflection the year 7's in LS2 made Saagwala curry. To make our Saagwala curry the first step is to put oil and garlic into a large pan without the lid. You also have to dice the spinach, onions and garlic. Also get 1 tspn of garam masala and curry powder into a measuring cup. While getting the spices make sure that you get half a can of tomatoes. The rest of the process is basiclly just putting your ingredients into the pot, and stirring it while putting the flames on low. This activity was really fun, but I only got to cook one thing this term.
I am a Year 7 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teachers are Mrs Anderson and Mrs Fisi'iahi.

Celebrating the Summer Learning Journey
Celebrating the Summer Learning Journey
LI: To celebrate our PBS SLJ participants.
I really enjoyed the activities that were set for us during throughout Summer Learning Journey. It was also quite fun getting the challenges from Nano girl because we were able to make things using everyday household objects. Attending our assembly, was Mrs Grant and Miss Paleti who acknowledged our achievments, and presented our prizes. Congratulations Sakshi for being the PBS top blogger, top commenter, and the top blogger in the whole of the Manaiakalani.

America's Cup Summary
LI: To summarise the America's Cup for people.
For this challenge we summarised main parts of the America's Cup. First we chose 20 words that we thought were important from an article. Next we selected 6 out of the 20 words. The 6 words we chose had to be the most important words. For the last part of this activity we had to put those 6 words into a summarisation. This activity was easy because I've done tasks similar to this in the past.

Puaki summary
LI: To write HOT questions.
Blurb: This week our group did reciprocal reading. The text we read was Puaki. The text was informing us about the importance and the stories behind a Ta-Moko. In the text there were four origins of four people explaining how and why they got their ta-moko. In our reciprocal reading each person of the group was assigned a role, a clarifier, A questionnaire, A predictor, a summariser and the leader. When each page was read each person would do their role (e.g: predictor predicts next page). While doing this we were tasked at creating HOT (Higher Order Thinking) Questions part of the text.

Cybersmart | Cleaning out your drive
LI: To inform young device users about the importance of being cybersmart.
Todays challenge required us to create a DLO showing a tip that new device users should follow. My tip was about the importance of cleaning out your google drives. In our DLO we had to explain some information about cleaning our drives and we also had to create a screencastify to show how to clean our drives. I found this activity quite easy because I have expierence explaining to juniors about cybersmart skills.
Number Bank
LI: To gain a more in depth understanding about mathmatics.
In todays challenge we were asked to fill out a document that consisted of the biggest and lowest six digit number that we could make with six given numbers. To find the smallest six digit number I arranged the numbers from lowest to highest and then to find the largest number I arranged the numbers from biggest to smallest. I think that this strategy was efficient because it helped me with every one of the questions and I got the answer quite quickly.
