For our Emotianal Charades we had to act out a short performance without using words and other people had to try and guess what emotion we were feeling. Our big T ( Theme ) was still resilience and our little t ( topic ) was still understanding emotions. Our catchphrase was " Kiwi Can says, If you feel it, let it out, don't doubt ".

Making the Electric Car
( Also parental guidence is needed for kids making this project ) The materials needed were 4 skewers, 1 battery pack with a red and blue wire, a piece of cardboard for the model of the car, two batteries, a motor, a mini ( preferably plastic ) fan, tape, scissors and wheels ( tiny plastic circle with a hole in the middle ). My partner was Spelman and we split our jobs so that I would make the motor and the fan and Spelman would make the car. After we finished we taped everything together and our car was working and it was very fast.

Making the flashlight
The matierals needed were building blocks, 1 LED Light ( Light Emitting Diode ), 1 Motor, Cogs that connect to the motor and spin it and axles. We had to get into groups of three and in my group there was Farzana and Bella. We struggled a bit on getting the light to turn on but after we did we started building the base of the flashlight. After that I came up with a triple cog system idea that was hard to build but we tried it. In the end we didn't complete the flashlight.

Our new catchphrase was telling us to let all our emotions out instead of keeping them in because they would eventually burst.

Commenting

LI: To make a smart comment.
This week I commented on my friend Vayans blog. I accidentally wrote Ong's name but I meant Vayan's. A smart comment must include positive feedback in the form of question and a greeting with a goodbye. My Greeting and goodbye was Kia Ora and Keep up the good work because I didn't know the Maori saying for goodbye.

Kiwi Sport | HIIT ( High Intense Interval Training )

LI: To get fit at our own personal pace.
HIIT is about working out and resting while doing the workouts at our personal pace. For hit we had to do some pull ups on bars, some push ups and some mountain climbers. We had to get into partners and my partner was Andrew so I had to motivate Andrew to do his best and Andrew did the same for me. For the pull ups we could put our arms in an over position or a under position, for the push ups, we could do the push ups on our knees, one leg or a normal push up. Lastly for the mountain climbers we could do it on the floor or diagonally on the corner of the stage.

For our final week in making our play we had to finish the dialogue. Once we finished it Mr Wongs reading group will perform it in front of us. First we had to finish writing our own dialouge with our parteners ( or triple ) and then we would combine our story with our groups to complete our dialogue.
After we got feedback from Mr Ogilvie we had to add narrator roles and tie it off at the end.

After we had made our slide we had to present infornt of Mr Wong and get a score from him out of 3. My groups score was 2/3 and we got points for having the slide polished, having a well reasond conclusion and having everyone ( that was here ) speak. In reading we had to make constellations out of scures ( sticks ) and Marshmellos. First we had to get into partners from different reading groups and choose what constellation we were going to make. We had to count how many marshemellos and scures we needed to make our constellation. After we had made our constellations we had to insert our constellation and a real photo of the constellation. After that we had to use scanning and write the names of the stars in our constellation and what star is the brightest in our constellation. after that we had to use skimming and give two pieces of information. Lastly we had to use summarising and make a tweet that is similar to twitter where we had to write a summarisation in 40 words or under.

LI: To state our likings.
For our last week of Maori we had 2 tasks and they were a Maori word puzzle and a DLO ( Digital Learning Object ) stating 4 things that we like. Our Maori teacher said that we had to find the Maori translation of what we like. I enjoyed this lesson of Maori because like the others they teach us some maori language like this week we learnt that "He pai ki ahau" means " I like " in english.

Kiwi Can

LI: To recap learning from the term.
For the final week of Kiwi Can we got to decide what games we wanted to play. We also recaped on what we have been learning the past term which is honesty, integrity, reliability and responsibility. Honesty means telling the truth, Integrity means doing the right thing, reliability means doing what is needed without being told and responsibility means taking care of what is yours. The two games that the year 5's played was Invisible Rugby and Octopus and the two games that the year 6's played were go home, stay home and octopus. I enjoyed this last session as much as I enjoyed the others because like the others they teach us important lessons.
