LI: To understand more about osmosis and transpiration.
During this lesson we learned more about transpiration, stomata, phlaoem, xylem, and photosynthesis. Transpiration is the effect of sunlight evaporating water. Stomata are the tiny pores found on leaves that absorb water. Phaloem are the small cells that help the plant distribute food in different parts of the plant. Finally, the xylem helps move the water from the bottom of the plant (near the roots) upwards defying gravity and bringing the water to the top of the plant. Photosynthesis is when a plant converts sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide into sugar, glucose or oxygen. More about the topic can be found in the document below.
I enjoyed this activity because I got to understand more about the specific parts of photosynthesis.
