Cacti Problem

LI: To solve a mathmatical problem.
For day two of the S.L.J we had to look at a mathmatical problem. The problem that over one full year, how much water will you need to give your cacti.

I made a D.L.O ( Digital Learning Object ) about how I solved this equation. I really enjoyed doing this activaty for the S.L.J and whish to do it again.

Fabulous Ferns

LI: To make a blog post about sport uniforms. For day two of the S.L.J I had to blog about three New Zealand sports teams that have the word fern in it and if I like it or not.

I like the tall and black ferns uniform but I don't like the silver ferns because there is not that much color and representation for New Zealand

Activist Quiz

LI: To make an interactive quiz about a activist.
For the final week of the school year we had to make a interactive slide show about a activist of our choice. First we had to make a list of activists then choose what activist we wanted to study on. Me and my partner Leroy chose to study on Martin Luther King J.r

We had to do specefic things on each slides like some bioghraphy or history behind him, What he is famous for, what he wanted and how it can be used in LS1. Once we had finished making the interactive quiz and the whole slide itself we had to present to the class we have made.

Giants among us

LI: To think about choices
The first acttivaty for day second is about if you want to go to Tane Mahuta. I didn't want to go because I don't like using energy. After a while legs and head start to hurt. But if that woesn't a thing I would still not go because I don't like bush walks.

Ice, Ice Baby

LI: To Learn about the internet
Today the 3rd S.L.J Activaty. One way of being Cyber Smart is to make sure your username for anything doesn't include any personal information. And make sure your device is safe because some one could hack into it.

North & South

LI: To learn about New Zealand
For the second S.L.J activaty we had to learn about the north and the south island of New Zealand. More people live in the north than they do in the south. The thing that I think is special about my town is that we have wide open fields of grass for us to play on. I also like that we get an amazing summer.

Three Facts about New Zealand

LI: To learn more about New Zealand
Today it was the start of the Summer Learning Journey. The S.L.J ( Summer Learning Journey ) Is a program for schools to particapate in throughout the summer. The First Activaty is about facts based on New Zealand. The first fact is about the translation of Aoteroa and it means the land of the long white cloud. The second fact is about New Zealand Being Goverend by Australia. And the last fact is about New Zealand Being one of the three countries that has two official national Anthem.

Idioms

LI: To learn a whole bunch of idioms
This week for reading we got to learn about Idioms. We had to get into a group of three or four. We had to make a slideshow about idioms.

We had to look at some websites that had a book related theme and we had to try and find idioms within the book. If we found an idiom that was in our list it would be two points, but if it woesn't in the list we had it was one point. Whoever had the most points by thursday got choclate.

Division

LI: To learn about Diviosion.
This week for maths my subject I was doing was division. For division we had to choose a number range and how much equations we would like to do that are inbetween that number range.

I had to make a slideshow about division with videos in it to represent what division questions I am going to do. I chose to split numbers up into groups to divide them. I enjoyed this task and would like to do it again.

9 tense story

LINK TO STORY
LI: To use correct sentences in writing
This week for writing we had to make a story with the nine tenses that we had learnt over the past couple of weeks. The nine tenses include the future tenses, the past tenses and the present tenses.

We had to make our planning on the narritive planner that the teacher shared with the class. When we had finished our planning we had to write our story. After we wrote our story we had to show Mr Wong to check if it is good. If he said it was fine we had to make a slide on story bird and publish it so that our class can see.

Kiwi Can

LI: To reflect on what we did the past tearm.
This week for Kiwi Can it was our last session for the year. The first thing we had to do was to try and recall all the catch phrases that we learnt from the past tearm. After that we made a circle and went around it asking people what was there favourite part about kiwi can this year. Then we would go back around the circle asking people what there favourite game was.

After all that was done we had choosen the four games we wanted to play. The first game we played was 10 second tag. The 2nd game we played was Octupus. The 3rd game we played was called Hand Soccer. And the last game that we played with kiwi can was Invisible Rugby.

Maori

LI: To write about maori locations
This week for maori we had to fill out a sheet that has maori translated locations on it. Our maori teacher showed us a way on how we should wright down the south and north island of New Zealand. A way to say the south island is Te waka a maui and the north island can be translated as Te ika a maui.

On the sheet included the maori way of saying the location, were the location is and what part of new zealand was it located in. The location and the part of the island were what we had to figure out. I worked with Lukah to complete my sheet. I enjoyed doing this activaty and wish to do it again.

Boxing / Kiwi Sport

LI: To combine what we have learnt all together.
This week for boxing we had to combine the different boxing skills that we have learnt over the past few weeks and use them all.

The first combonation we used contained a Jab and a cross but we had to do it ten times the 20 and then 30 and we had to keep on doing that until we heard a whistle. The Second Combonation we used contained a jab, cross, guard, right upper cut and a left hook. We had to do this for two minutes with each combonation. The third combo we used contained a jab, jab, cross, bridge out, bridge in and then a left hook. The last combonation we learnt contained a jab, cross, left hook, roll, and a left hook. We one of the partners had finished that we had to swap over and do it all again. I know that this was the final week of boxing but I really enjoyed and hope to do it again. I learnt by listening to pax and focusing.

Maori

LI: To learn about maori food
This week for maori we had to learn about the different maori foods. We had to get two pieces of paper the have different foods on them. We would have to learn the maori meaning of them and then once we had put the maori name for the food under the correct food item. We could color them in after we had don that.

Multiplacation Algorithim

.
LI: To learn about algorithim
This week for maths we had to make a slideshow about algorithim.

We could eather make our algorithim slide about the 4 topics I have already talked about in my last maths blog post. But I will just show you: Multiplacation, Subtraction, Addition and Divsion. If you don't know what algorithim means then I will tell you. Algorithim is helped by place value. To learn more about algorithim watch the slide above. I enjoyed learning about algorithim and would like to do it again. I learnt algorithim by focusing on my work.

Kiwi Can

LI: To learn about respecting our inviorment
This week for Kiwi Can we had a new topic called respect for our inviorment. For our energizer we had to play a game called 4 courners.

To play we had to get one person in the middle and the rest of the people. They would have a certain amount of time until the person in the middle would choose what corner was the loudest. whatever corner they picked and the amount of people in that courner would be out for that round. For our game we played invisible touch rugby. If you want to learn more about this game look for the label Kiwi Can and read those blogpost ( or quickly go threw them ) and you will find it there. I learnt by listening to the Kiwi Can leaders.

Inquiry: Peace

LI: To explore the definitions of peace
This week for inquiry we had to make a DLO ( Digital Learning Object ) Talking about peace. First we would have to make a group of 5. After we had done that we had to list down some synonyms and antonyms around peace.

We had about 15 minutes to do this. When the 15 minutes was up we had to report back to our teacher on what words we had discovered. Then we would have to split eachother into to groups and pairs. One half would make a group of 3 and the other had to make a pair. When we made the DLO we had to look at 9 different photo's that were peace or conflict. We had to write down three words that described the photo when we saw it. After we finished that we had to write one sentence based on one of the three words that we chose. After we had completed that task we had to write a sentence from the persons perspective. The last thing we had to do was make a poster about peace and then put it on the slide. I learnt by listening to what I had to do and focusing on it.

Boxing

LI: To learn about counter attack.
This week for Boxing we had to learn about the different counter attacks. We had to get into pairs. One pair would have liners and boxing gloves. The second pair would have 2 pool noodles to coach the boxer.

The first combo we learnt included guard, cross, left hook and another cross. When we did our guard our partner would have smack our gloves then we would put our hands down to do the boxing combo that we learnt from last week. The second combo I learnt included bridge, then to bridge forward, cross then and a left hook. When we did our bridge our partner had to try and hit us before we could bridge away. Next they would have to put there noodles back up and the boxers we would have to bridge back and cross and a left hook. For the third combonation we did a slip. When we did the slip we would have to counter differently depending on what side we went. We could slip right or left. If we sliped left we would have to come back with a left hook, if we sliped right we would have to come back with a cross. The last combo we did had to use a upper cut in the punch. We had duck under the noodles and come up with a upper cut.

Infering

LI: To Infer thoughts and emotions
This week for reading we had to watch a video called " For the birds". Once we completed watching the video we had to complete a slide show. We were first told to make 2-3 inference's. Midway through making the inferences we had to make 6 or as many as we could. Watched the video over 3 times so that each time I could pick out little inferences. An Inference is when you read through a text and get details and put them together to make one big idea.

Addition Poster

LI: To make a poster about the topic we chooose
This week for maths we had to choose a category and then make a poster, animation,  video or slide show. The four subjects we could choose were: Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division.

I chose the Addition Poster Because I think it would be a good subject to learn more about first. Before I made the poster our teacher gave all of us the same addition methods to learn about. The 2 methods we learnt about are place value and Tidy numbers. When I made my poster I used the print design rules from T1 ( Term 1 ).

Kiwi Sport

LI: To learn about boxing defenses.
This week for boxing we had to learn about some different boxing defenses. We had to get into partners and practice these move. The first defense we used is called Guard. It is similar to the rock but your protecting your whole face instead of just your cheek bones. You partner would hit your glove with a pool noodle and you would have to get in to your guard position. One part of the guard is you have to make one gap for your head to see through.

The second defense we used is called bridge. The key about the bridge is to stay firm on your feet and to not fall over. I can't really think of any thing else to talk about for the bridge.

The third defense mechanisme we used is called slip. It is were you had to put you noodle on there shoulder and the person with gloves had to roll under and get the noodle to be on there other shoulder.

WW1: Trench Wars

LI: To learn about trenches
This week for inquiry we had to make a slideshow about trench wars.

We had to find information about The trench wars and put the information that we learnt and understood into all four boxes. There were three videos explaining what happened in the trench wars  and one BBC News article also explaining things about trench wars. Once we had done that we had to show our slide to one of the teachers. Some pairs had to do five boxes, the fifth box explained why and how the land was called was called No Mans Land. We didn't to a fifth slide but thats ok I wish I could do this again some time

Kiwi Can

LI: To learn about respect.
This week for Kiwi Can we had to learn more about respect. We also learnt more about how we can respect our communite. We learnt different way we could respect our communite and what is the oppisite of them and what it could do.

The name of our energizer was called tunnel ball. To play you have to make a circle with you legs open. Once that is done you have to get a ball. You have to try and hit the ball with one hand inbetween a person's legs. If you do they are eliminated from the game. The actual game we played was called arm soccer ( or arm football ). You have to split yourselves into two groups and if you want you can name your groups. The rules are: you can not use two hands or your feet, you can not pick the ball up and you can not hold the ball still. The first to get to ten goals wins. I really enjoyed Kiwi Can and wish I could do this again.

Maori

LI: To learn how to pronounce words in maori.
This week for Maori we had to make a poster about spelling and pronouncing foods in maori. Our Maori teacher said there has to be no english within the poster, not even images could contain english in it.

We had to get into pairs. After we did that our Maori teacher gave our pairs numbers. The number we had links to one of the food items. The food items me and Leon chose were butter, Peanut butter, Honey and jam. When it came to making the poster we both worked as a team to finish. I really enjoyed this maori lesson and wish to do it again.

Kiwi Can

LI: To respect our communite.
This week for Kiwi Can we learnt more about respecting our communite. We talked about what communites surround us and how we can help them.

Our energizer was called remote. To play you need a master of the "remote". If they say go you have to walk normally. If they say rewind you have to walk back the path you took. By this I mean you can walk in a straight line but you can't walk back a different way. If he they say pause you must jump on the spot then freeze. If they say fast forward you have to speed walk. if they just say stop and you stop your out because stop isn't one of the 4 words. Even hesatating a incorrect action will get u out. The game we played was called Invisible Rugby. To play you need to split your selves into two different groups. Now you can play this on any surface ( Just make sure the surface is flat ). Someone says a number and whatever number they say the amout of people go. For example if someone say 2 then 2 people start running near the other teams trie line. the person who shouts out the number also has to say who is holding the ball. If a player tags the person who has the ball then they have the ball.

Boxing

LI: To learn how to use combinatoins in boxing.
This week for boxing with Pax we learnt how to put boxing combinations together. We used what we learned from the previous weeks and put them all together. The boxing punches that we used were called: Jab, Cross, left hook, right hook, left upper cut and the right upper cut.

We had to get into pairs and when we were done finding our partner we had to put some liners and gloves on. Our partner went to grab two pool noodles for the boxing partners to punch. The person who was wearing the gloves had to punch the noodles.

The first combination we used was jab, jab, cross. The second combination we learnt was jab, cross, left hook and one more cross. The last combination we learnt was jab, cross, left hook, right hook, left upper cut and then right upper cut. When our turn was over with the gloves we had to swap them with our partner so that we could all have a go at boxing. I had fun learning boxing combinations and would like to do it again.

The different kind of rhymes we used were End rhymes, Alliterations, Assonances and Consanance. We had to explain all four of them including examples from Dr Seuss books.

Maori

LI: To make a poster about Paikea
This week for Maori we got to learn more about Paikea. We looked and another book that was set after the story of Papatuanuku and Ranginui. After we had read the book we made a poster talking about the Tahuhu carving. To get this design to look the best I can make it I had to the print design rules from T1 ( Term 1 ).

I try to make it so that the words were easy to read by using color. I also used a balance of text and Images by using compistion. I tried filling all the space I had by using my images and text. Once I had finished my poster I sent it to my Maori teacher for feedback. I have linked a text to one of the Paikea songs that were performed by college students.

Armisticer Day Slide

LI: This week I learned to commemorate those who fought in WW1This week I learned by working with a partner to do this, his name is Lukah. We had to do a google slide about armistice day, armistice day was a day about coremeration.
For the first slide we had to write information about  a song called the last post, if you don’t know what that is look at the slide above, we specifically had to add information about what was the last post and why is it played, we also added some images as well.
For the Second slide we had to write information about the Poem called “ The Fallen” Which is a poem about Commemoration for our fighters in WW1. “ The Fallen” Was made in September 1914 by Laurence Binyon.
For the last slide we added information about why we use the poppies, in you want to find out why look at the last slide, the cool thing is they grew in the battlefields when the ww1 ended.

We did this by working hard and focusing on our goal without distractions. We also worked together and accepting others ideas.

Maori

LI: To learn about the Maori weather.
This week for Maori we had to read a book based on the weather. After we had red the book we had to make a slideshow based on Maori weather. From there I don't know what happened because I had left.
But I do know that we had to finish the slide and put it safe in our folder.

Kiwi Can

LI: To learn how to respect our school.
This week for kiwi can we had to learn about respecting our school even more. We talked about some of the things in school that we respect. Some of suggestions were the school rules, Respecting our job and much more.

The energizer we took part of is called Middle Ball. and to play it's very simple. First you need a small round ball placed in the middle of the circle you made. Next someone ( Of your choice) has to give everyone a number from 1-4. Then the same person who gave everyone numbers are going to say a number between 1-4. Then the people who had the same number as the person calls have to run around the outside of there circle. Afetrwards when they have ran around once and arrived in there spot, they have to run through the middle and try and grab the ball first. But you can't dive.

The game we played was called Bus Stop. To play pus stop you need to split yourselves up into groups. Once you have done that you need to list down the same group of categories as everyone else. Next you have to get somebody to say a letter within the elphabet. Everyone has to write something that goes under the given category. If your answer is different than the others you get 10 points, were as if you get the same answer as everyone you only get five points. When we were finished we said thank you and goodbye.

Commenting

LI: To create a smart comment about.
Today for commenting I commented on my friend Karlos's blog. I  was very happy and proud of him for getting 100% on prototec within two minutes. Within my comment I tryed to contain positivity, thoughtfulness and helpfulness.

Typing Practice

LI: To get better at typing.
Today for typing I used a typing practice app that remebers the letters that you missed tapping. Then it does fake and real words until it thinks you are ready to move on to more letters. I tried to get faster and better at typing so that if we have another writing test I can be faster than I was in the past. I also want to become better so that there are less chance of me typing a word wrong.

Maori

LI: To learn about what happened on Giphworks day.
This week for maori we had to read a book about Giphworks. Once we had listened to our maori teacher we had split up and went on google maps to find the locations that we were told to find. When we I was done locating all the locations The bell rang for lunch time ao our Maori class was over. Before we got our food we were told to write our names on the piece of paper.

Paraghraph Recount

Good Recount: After maybe a half an hour the path became very difficult to climb. The path became extremely steep. The path’s surface changed. It changed from tightly packed stones to loose gravel. We started using large steps to try and move forward more, but each time we took a step, we would slipped back down. We had lost sight of other people climbing, but when we did spot people they seemed to be walking alongside us but at a different elevation. We kept on walking with and it was hard to climb. We even used our hands to hold onto the gravel. After a while we came to an intersection with a large sign showing different paths around and up Mt Fuji.  I could read Japanese whereas the others couldn’t, so I tried to figure out where to go. Instead I ended up finding out that we had climbed up the service road! This road was used for bulldozers, diggers and other heavy machinery that could travel on difficult roads. We all agreed we were stupid.

Bad Recount: After maybe a half an hour. And then the path became very difficult to climb. The path became extremely steep. The path’s surface changed. It changed from tightly packed stones to loose gravel. We started using large steps to try and move forward, but each time we took a step, we slipped back down. We all agreed we were stupid.

LI: To correct certain structure and language features in a recount.
This week for writing we had to rewrite a messed up recount. We had to pick out all the mistakes we could find and then change them to what we thought were correct. We had a little chat with Mr Wong to understand what we were aimng to do. My group had to focus on sentnce and structre. That meant we had to fix up the sentences and structres that did not make sense.

WW1: M.A.I.N

LI: To learn about the causes, conflict, and resolution to World War 1 (WWI).
This week for inquiry we were learning about the acrynom M.A.I.N. The acrynom stands for Militarisim, Alliance, Imperialism and Nationalism. We had to go onto to something that we call a cheat sheet ( The sheet did not contain any answers ). We had to copy and paste what we thought was right into each box. Once we had finished we had to think what immediate cause that startded WW1. I answered by saying it was the black hand gang the shot the Archduke Ferdinand and his wife. That was my reason for WW1 to start.

Boxing

LI: To learn the three commands.
This week for boxing we had to learn three diffrent commands. The three commands are Respect, Discipline and Saftey. Some key words respect are caring for others, Listening to what you have been told and respecting the rules of boxing. For discplince you can only punch under a safe enviorment while being taught by a coach. The name of our coach was Pax and she has won one of her own boxing matches. Saftey is being safe while doing your boxing class. Then we put on two diffrent types of gloves. The first one we put on was called a sweater becasue it was sweat obsorbant I think. Then we put on our boxing gloves and then formed parteners. we had to line up on two lines while facing Pax. Then we had to put our legs a little further apart than our shoulder width. Next we put our gloves on our cheeks or just under our eyes. Our partener would give us a little push while we had to try and stay like a rock ( Not moving ) which is what the technuiqe was called. Afterwards we got to learn two types of punches. The punches were called a jab and a cross. The jab was with your left hand and the cross was with your right. the cross would have a little bit more power in the punch because you have to use you leg to twist. Our partner would just catch the punch in there glove. Then we took the gloves of for the end of our lesson.

Time

LINK to slide
LI: To make a interactive activaty based on time.
This week for maths we had to choose a subject out of four. The choices we had were time, geomatry, money and numbers ( Multiplacations ). I chose time and made a interactive game based on time. One of the rules are you can NOT skip to the Answers at the bottom or I will kick you from the game. if you want you can learn about time before you begin.

Conflict & Resoulution: Painted hoe

LI: To learn about the conflict and reoulution in this story.
This week for reading we had to read a book called Painted Hoe and figure out the conflict and the resoulution of the book. We had to figure out the charecters and what there ideals are ( Wants ). This book reminds me of Percy Jackson becasue Percy is trying to be a hero and James Cook is doing the same thing. Both books have a conflict and a resolution that solves the conflict. Also both books have a good and bad side. Percy's team is the good side and Hadeas team is the bad side and in the Painted Hoe Britain are the bad side and maori are the good side ( This is my opionion ).

Cyber-Smart

LI: To identify the gimmicks used to attract and persuade people into buying there product.

We had to list down the rest of the words. After we had wrote the definition on every word we had to work on the time line within WW1. The years for the time line were not writen so we had to figure them all out and put the scenarios with the years.

Activaty for measurment

LINK to slide.
LI: To learn about a subject of our choice.
This week for maths we had to choose one subject out of four. The choices were statistics, measurment, addition and subtraction. I decided to work on measurment. I had to make a google slide explaining what I learnt and then I made another slide on a interactive game that people could play on the other slide. On the slide I have linked one part to another slide about measurment because the first slide is about the game.

Conflict and resolution

LI: To learn about the meaning of conflict and resolution.
This week we had to read a story about a kid who doesn't want to share his scooter. They have a conflict much like percy jackson did with one of his friends betraying him and then have a battle to the death for zeus lightning bolt.

in the story the kids brother kind of betrays him by taking what is his and that is what happens in percy jackson. We had to read the first two pages of the book and find out who the first charecters are. Then we split up and read the rest of the story to figure out every charecter. Next we had to write down the ideals of each side. After that we had figure who had a conflict with who ( conflict means two people who have a arguement ). Then we had to write down the actions people took to get to there resoulution ( A resoulution means fixing a problem ).

Kiwi Can

LI: To learn how to respect others along with our enviroment.
This week for Kiwi Can we had to learn about respecting our enviroment and people. We went over some school rules and why we have them. We said that school rules keep us safe.

Our energizer was a game called rules vs no rules were you have to play a game of tag were you are all in running and when you were tug you weren't out. Then we played tag with rules and the rules were no bumping into eachother, you would know the tagger, no shouting or screaming and listen to the way you are told to move. The game we played was called roleplay and to play you need to separate yourselves into four groups with five people in each group. You are given a certan scenario to act by using a respectful a non respectful approach.

We learnt how respecting other people and our enviroments benefits us.

Cybersmart

YMCA Swimming

LI: To learn about water saftey.
This week for swimming we learnt more about how to float with our boards. We also had to learn a new skill called the starfish flip.

To perform the starfish flip you have to start with you head underwater then wait for 5 seconds to pass and then you flip on to your stomach to breath. something that is very important when you are on your stomach is to keep your chest and stomach above water. Then we got our float boards and people went on eather side of the walls and ropes with there boards out. They had to not splash but make waves while someone is swimming through the middle of the two groups.

I learnt more about how to safe in water with YMCA Lagoon.

Dance mat typing

LI: To practice on our typing.
Today I played dance mat typing to improve on my typing skills and if you want to click this link. This was another fun way to improve on my typing skills. Sadly I will not use the way that they type because my fingers are use to a different way of typing. But what I like about this game is that it has different levels which are more challenging thatn the last.

Kiwi Can

LI: To learn how to persevere.
This week was third to last week of kiwi can so we tried to be the best we can be. We learnt how to persevere between diffrent challenges. We also talked about somethings that can help you from when you are frustrated about losing something.

Our energizer was called add master and to play you need to form a circle with your friends and family. One person will start at a point in the circle and there goal is to play a game were you have to kind of rock paper scissors but pull out one or two hands. If you hold up 3 fingers and the other person holds up 5 then you have to add up the numbers as quick as possible so that you answer is three. if you beat them then you move to the next person and your goal is to beat everyone in the circle but if you lose then you sit down were the person who beat you sits. The next game we played was called card towers and to play you need to split into groups of four with 12 cards each and within five minutes you have to try and build the best tower. The catch was that you can not frustrate or else you are out.

I learnt how to persevere and somethings that can help you when you are frustrated at someone or something.

Inquiry: Traffic Control

 LI: To learn about roads.
This week for inquiry we had to make a presantation and then once you are done you had to play three diffrent games based on road control. To see then blog post on the presantation click on this link.

The first game we played was called highway traffic and it was not really acurate on how we control traffic lights and by that I mean when you would click the traffic light it would skip ( always ) skip amber. This next game we played was to me was the most acurate at controlling the traffic light because when you would click the traffic light then it would go amber and then red. The last game we played was more of a puzzle game because you had to make a root using curves and straight roads to get the cars to there destanation.

I learnt alot about traffic control.

Inquiry: Presantation

LI: To make a presantation about traffic lights, Round abouts & Pedastrian crossings.
This week for one of our inquiry blog post we had to make a presantation about traffic lights, round abouts & pedastrian crossings.

Rugby

LI: To learn the basics of rugby.
This week on wedensday we had rugby. My group had to learn the basics of rugby like passing, tackling, rucks and throw ins.

The first drill was the rucks and I am going to be honest it was very confusing but in the end we maneged to complete it, the skill we did was tackling and to practice tackling we had to get into groups of two. One person in the group had to go on there knees and try and tackle their teammates who are standing up, also the teamate can move right or left and they have to try and get pass the tackler. Then we had to do passing and like most rugby teams we make three lines and one person runs and passes it to the others and you keep on going until your coach says stop. The last one we did was line outs and we did them how most people do, one person throws in the ball and the other people have to catch it.

We learnt the basics of rugby.

Lac Long Quan Lesson

LI: To understand the purpose of a narrative.
This week for reading we had to learn about the Vietnam myth called Lac Long Quan and we also had to ask some questions and figure out the answers. We also had to use our smart searching skills to figure out our answers.

We had to make a DLO explaining what we think the story of Lac Long Quan story, like what we think the message is and what the moral is. if you watch the video above then you will see my answers about the moral and more, the main thing I think we had to do was to ask some questions about the story and then figure out the answers. I find the question part hard because it took me a very long to to find out the answers.

I learnt more about how to use my smart searching skills a lot more.

YMCA Swimming

LI: To learn how to be safe in different enivorments contained with water
This week for swimming we had to learn how we can get in a pool or anything else with water while wearing a life jacket and how to take and put on a life jacket while in water. We also had to learn how to make a chain while someone is holding the shoulder of your life jacket but you also have to be holding someone life jacket unless you are at the front.

We played a little game in the pool were we had to make a circle by holding on to  the back of eachothers life jackets and then we spun around in a circle, then we let go of eachother and we floated on our back without kicking. after that we had to come back in and then the instructor showed us how to put our life jacket back on while in the pool.

We learnt how to put our life jacket on while in the pool and how to get in the pool safly with our life jackets on but the main thing the tought us was another step of how to be saftey in water.
