SLJ | Whats in a name

LI: To research about the people who changed the world.
For the day 4 task 2 we had the chance to change our names. This task was based on Muhammad Ali, because he was born with a different name but he changed it because he became muslim. My current name is Oscar but if I had the chance to change my name it would be Jack.

  1. Hi Oscar! Jack would be a really good name choice. Although it's pretty common, it is said to symbolize the English origin meaning "God is gracious". That's really interesting! Is there a behind reason of why you would choose this name? Nice job.

  2. Hello Oscar!,
Jack is a great and unique name to change to. To be honest I think that Oscar is a really great name. I like how you have explained what you did for this activity. I've been wondering. Why would you change your name to Jack?

    Great Work!

  3. Kia Ora Oscar,

Well done for completing another activity. What made you pick Jack as your new name? Maybe you changed it because someone you know is called Jack. I don’t think I would change my name because my grandma picked it so it’s special. Do you know why you were called Oscar?

    1. I know why,
Its because my mum liked the boxer oscar de la hoya. I chose Jack as my new name because i've just always liked that name, my mother was going to call me Jack. Whos your favourite boxer?

      Blog ya later.

  4. Hi Oscar!
I like the name choice you chose. Jack is a well known name especially because we use to have a Jack attending at our school. Where did you get the name Jack from?
    Blog you later!
