Inquiry | Poems

LI: To identify vocabulary and language feature for use in writing a poem about feelings.
This week in inquiry we were learning about poetry. We had to write a poem about feelings and how to deal with those feelings. My poem is a Haiku about anger and safe things to do when I am angry. A haiku is a poem that originates from japan, and has 5 syllables in the start 7 in the next and finishs with another 5 syllables.

Diamante: A diamante poem is a poem that describes things, and describes the opposite of that also. In the poem it needs two adjectives, and three words that has “ing”. It also is a diamond shape.

Cinquin: A cinquain is a poem that has five lines, and is also describing a thing, place, or person. The function of Cinquain is it starts with a one noun title, needs two adjectives, three words that have ing, a phrase, and a synonym for your title. All of it needs to relate to that one noun title.

Limerick: A limerick poem is a text that rhymes and is comedic.

We learnt this skill and information by being taught by Mr Wong. The tools I used were my netbook and the app I used was google docs
